YOGA for NEW MOMS

A special class 1 hour for all the new Moms! Take out some time for yourself to relax, to make new friends and to get back into shape-both physically and mentally! Traditional Yoga and Pranayama (yogic breathing), have been proven to help balance the postpartum hormones and make you feel calm and rejuvenated! Special attention is placed on developing core strength and stability – involving a particular emphasis on strengthening the back, abdomen and pelvic floor, as well as relieving tension in areas such as the neck, shoulders and back.

Bring your babies ( up to 10 months of age or before their crawling stage) with you to the class. Throughout the class, you will have the option to either involve your baby in the movements, or to have your baby close to you on a blanket. Fussing and crying is also totally normal, the babies are welcomed just as they are.

Previous yoga experience is not necessary. All levels are welcome.

It is a good idea to wait for about 4 – 6 weeks after the delivery before attending class. If you had a caesarian delivery this time should be extended to about 10-12 weeks, or until you receive the go-ahead from your doctor.
