Through the exploration of some yogic spiritual instructions make 2019 the year where you establish a solid routine to help with every aspect of your life. Sylvie will offer a series of tips to incorporate the yogic lifestyle into your life.

This course is modeled from a typical day at any Sivananda Ashram. A day like this will recharge your mind and spirit with a combination of yogic philosophy, meditation, yogic exercises (asanas) and deep relaxation.
As one Sun Yoga client, who wished for an experience like this, said “I’ve been to lots of trips. The scenery changes, but the vibe doesn’t. I need a back-to-the-basics approach that’s unlike anything I’ve ever done!”

Open to ALL LEVELS AND AGES. No prior yoga or meditation experience needed.

When: Sunday, Feb. 17, 2019 

At: 9:00 am- 3:30 pm

Schedule:

9am-10am: Opening Satsang (meditation, chant, philosophy)

10am -12:00pm: Yoga Asana & Pranayama class (All levels)

12pm -12:30pm: Wholesome vegetarian lunch

12:30pm- 2:00pm: Yoga Philosophy: 10 points to establish a solid yogic routine for every aspect of your life.

2:00pm-2:15pm:  Chai Break with Sivananda cookies

2:15pm- 2:35pm: Final message - reading from the Yoga Upanishad from Swami Sivananda.

2:45 pm- 3:30 pm: Yoga Nidra with Manisha


About Sylvie Boisclair

Sylvie cumulates over 35 years of research, practice and teaching of movement arts. She is an experienced teacher, who draws her unique ability to teach thoroughly and precisely from her background as a classically trained ballet teacher and dancer.  She has been teaching yoga asanas, philosophy and teacher training at different ashrams and retreats around the world since 2002. Sylvie possesses a profound understanding of the workings of the human mind and body which allows her to empower her students to work their own miracles on and off the mat.

Classical Hatha Yoga in the Sivananda Tradition

Sivananda Yoga is a classical and holistic approach to Hatha Yoga that stretches and tones the whole body while preparing the mind for meditation. This style of yoga has not been modified or watered down. The teachings have survived intact and are practiced as originally presented in India by Swami Sivananda in 1936 and brought to the West by Swami Vishnu devananda in the 60s’
