Our mission at the SUN YOGA Sivananda Centre, is to spread peace, health and joy through yoga. All are welcome to come to our center to learn not only about how yoga can help maintain a healthy body but also how Yogic philosophy, applied in daily life, can help maintain a peaceful mind and spirit. The goal of yoga is inner and outer peace and the realization of unity in diversity.
SUN YOGA teaches SIVANANDA YOGA. This style of yoga has not been modified or watered down. The teachings have remained intact and are practiced as originally presented in India by Swami Sivananda in 1936 and brought to the West by Swami Vishnudevananda in the 1960s'. All the instructors at SUN YOGA are trained by a lineage of yoga gurus from Sivananda Yoga Centers across the world.
Classes are offered in small groups of up to 15 students, in a relaxed environment. The calming energy of the studio, soft music, and gentle instructions make the yoga class experience very safe and conducive for not only learning yoga, but for personal and spiritual growth.
